Product Overview

POL-27IP is a network indoor/outdoor, mechanical Day/Night, built-in heater and fan PTZ IP Speed Dome Camera. This unit has an amazing 270x total zoom capability and can see in very low light environments making it perfect for most applications. If you need to see in a no-light situation, just pick up an IR illuminator and get perfect clarity with this camera. It has a cut-off filter that mechanically removes the sensor and allows it to see IR. The camera can set with up to 128 preset positions with multiple patterns for total configuration.

This IP camera also incorporates an unique feature any installer will know is a huge time saver, a Standard Video Output connector. This enables you to quickly setup, focus and zoom camera using a standard monitor without the need of LAN or PC. The integrated CMS (Central Management Software) can manage all front-end equipment to realize integrated surveillance, storage, data transmitting, management and control. The units still have the combined ability to view directly from IE (Internet Explorer) on any one IP camera whether the CMS software is running or not. One of the most useful features of this feature rich application is that it has the ability to stream the video of all the cameras directly to your computer's HDD. Many NVR (Network Video Recorder) functions are incorporated into the CMS application. The CMS software is included at no extra charge.

MPEG4 is a widely used audio/video format created by the Moving Pictures Experts Group. As it relates to DVRs, it is one of the major encoding algorithms used, and offers greater compression and lower bandwidth requirements than JPEG2000, at a slight loss of visual quality. Typically DVRs labeled as MPEG4 utilize MPEG4 part 2, which is not to be confused by MPEG4 part 10 (H.264).
H.264 is the most recent addition to the MPEG4 family of audio/video formats. It supercedes MPEG4 part 2 which is commonly used in DVRs, and offers significantly greater compression than JPEG2000 and MPEG4 part 2 with only slight degradation of quality.

Central Management Software (CMS) is software designed to manage multiple unique IP video servers (whether a camera or DVR) from a single interface. For example, CMS would allow you view/control two separate network DVRs housed in two different locations within the same software interface.

Presets, in RS485 parlance, are memory locations in a pan/tilt camera or device that allow you to store a particular position and easily recall it later.
Patrolling (sometimes called touring) is a feature of some pan/tilt devices that allows you to set a series of waypoints and have the device automatically cycle through them on a schedule.
