Product Overview
Warehouses, parking lots, showroom floors, long hallways, and any other large areas can benefit from this system package. The 120' range of this camera can let you see large areas closer but still has a wide enough view to see everything you need. The resolution is great during the day and is just as sharp at night inside or outside. The powerful DVR can record up to 7 days or more with the provided hard drive that can be upgraded should longer recording times be needed. Fully networkable, the DVR has an easy access USB port on the front for simple data offloading and setup is a snap thanks to the included remote and mouse.
The most frequent failure of any DVR system is the hard drive. But we have you covered! Gain the advantage over big box retail store systems which only warranty their non A/V hard drives for 1 year. PolarisUSA package systems come with Western Digital Audio/Video drives preinstalled which have longer survivability and a 3 year warranty! Keep your peace of mind and don’t risk losing your recorded data! Their hard drives are purchased outside the US to save money. But what they don’t tell you is that overseas hard drives are not covered under warranty in the US, to the customer’s dismay is only found out after the drive has failed.
A/V (audio/visual) hard disks are optimized for write operations and have a higher MTBF (mean time between failure) than a standard PC hard disk. A DVR is constantly writing to the disk, in contrast to a PC which is more often reading from the disk. For installation in DVRs, PolarisUSA always recommends using A/V drives for greater reliability and performance. Central Management Software (CMS) is software designed to manage multiple unique IP video servers (whether a camera or DVR) from a single interface. For example, CMS would allow you view/control two separate network DVRs housed in two different locations within the same software interface. |
