Quick Comparison of PA-1, PA-2, PA-4 Model Programming Adapters:
PolarisUSA Radio, Inc. offers three models of Programming Adapters, and while all three adapters are 100% compatible with all Model Cables we sell, the units were designed for three separate applications.
PA-1:
The PA-1 is intended for use in stationary installations, as it has no internal battery and requires a 12V connection at all times in order to program. The PA-1 is a good fit to put on a radio tech bench for programming customer's radios.
PA-2:
The PA-2 is intended for mobile and stationary use, as it comes equipped with an internal battery that will allow the unit to program continuously for 6-8 hours! It is slightly larger than the PA-1. The PA-2 is a great fit for both radio tech benches and on-call radio programming or repair, as the unit is portable.
PA-4:
The PA-4: is intended for mobile and stationary use like the PA-2, but is smaller and uses a 9V battery. The PA-4 is a great fit for both radio tech benches and on-call radio programming or repair, as the unit is portable.
