The Polaris Video/Audio Twisted Pair (UTP) transceivers series (TP-100AV and TP-01) are designed to simplify CCTV cabling installation and to eliminate noisy video and interference while increasing transmission distance
without need to install a video distribution amplifier. Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) = CAT 5, cables are a low
cost and easy way to install cable by the fact that UTP/CAT 5 cable is already used by most computer network
and telecom systems. These versatile products can not only be used with CCTV & CCD cameras but also for Multi-Media, Home Theater, Video Conferencing and remote computer monitor Video/Audio setups. Consider UTP transceivers for any video project that uses standard video (bandwidth DC-12MHz) and audio sources (bandwidth 50Hz-15KHz). Transmission distance from 600 meters for B/W, 300 meters for color. The TP-100AV and TP-01 products are passive and require no power.
